This acrylic piece was inspired partly by Beauty and the Beast and partly all things cozy in winter time. Painted in the midst of the dreary days of January, I wanted to capture the pleasant aspects of winter (snow, frost on windows, evening reading, candles, mugs of tea, etc. ) all in one painting. All these aspects and blended with a hint of lavishness, as I imagine Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, sitting inside just such a window in the Beast’s castle!
